Are You Earning Money On The Web?

Hi Everyone,

I imagine that if I did a poll of my readers and subscribers,
there would be a wide variety of answers and positions on
that question! :)

Many of you are probably no closer to earning online than
you were last year at this time. And, there are probably
quite a few of you who find yourselves bouncing around
from program to program, trying to find that elusive system
that will give you a breakthrough moment!

Whatever the situation, I want you to know that from this
point forward, I intend to make this blog your ally, as you
strive to earn money on the web.

Now, let me tell you a bit about myself and my personal
situation, regarding online business.

I live in rural Nova Scotia, Canada. I'm a writer and artist
with a keen desire to earn my living online. My primary
interests are in the natural healing, wellness, personal
growth, and internet marketing areas.

I write and publish the Natural Healing Talk newsletter.
I have gradually grown the subscriber base of the newsletter
over the past several years. So, the newsletter plays a
key role in my online affairs.

I've progressed slowly. It hasn't been easy. However, I've
learned a lot during the process. Eventually, I want to
compile an information product that will shorten the
learning curve for people who want to start a newsletter
and a business on the web.

As a matter of fact, I've already partly written the first draft
of the product. But, I really don't think I'll make it my first
priority, at the moment.

But, if you follow this blog, you will shorten your learning
curve, anyhow. :) You see, I intend to share tips and bits
of knowledge that I've gained over the past couple of
years.

My first tip:

There are many companies online that offer you instance
eStores, where you can sell a variety of products on a
commission (Affiliate) basis. Those eStores are usually
free, so you have little to lose, financially. That's the good
part of the deal.

However, I have a question for you.

Do you intend to focus one hundred (100%) per cent on
that online store? In other words, will you give it an excellent
effort over the next six months to a year? If not, forget it!
Why? Well, because if you are to make any sales, you will
need a solid marketing and advertising campaign.

I must say, I generally don't like eStores, period! I think you
would be better off placing your time and efforts, elsewhere.
But, if you must, don't get an eStore and just work with it
occasionally. It won't make you any money, sitting there!
Because, remember, your eStore is one of hundreds of
similar storefronts on the web.

In other words, the competition is heavy. So, if you must
have an eStore, try to find one that you can customize and
make unique, even if you have to pay a wee bit for the
ability to customize and make it your own brand. This is
almost impossible with a free, generic eStore.

Overall, I don't recommend online stores. And, as I noted
earlier, you have to market . . . market . . . and market some
more, to separate yourself from all the other similar stores.

Oh yes, one more point, they normally do offer you dozens
of products to sell. However, don't let that fool you, because
that's not necessarily a good thing! You see, all those
products confuse people. They leave your site, because it's
just a mass of images to them.

So, you're often better off, focusing your marketing efforts
on a single, good quality product.

All the best,
Laurie

P.S.
Here's a process for you:

1. Find a solid product to promote, either your own or an
affiliate product.

2. Save your pennies until you can afford to buy a product
like The Amazing Formula. This will give you a course or
plan of action.

3. Follow that plan and give it a one hundred (100%) effort.

4. You Will See Results!

P.S.S.
Yes, I'm an affiliate for The Amazing Formula. I don't hide
things like that. It's a great product! You will learn a great
deal from it, that's for sure.
